Using the Sage Line 50 ODBC Driver

Once you have installed your Sage Line 50 program you can use the Sage Line 50 ODBC driver to read your Sage Line 50 data directly from applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and  Microsoft Access.

ODBC is a software standard developed by Microsoft and stands for Open DataBase Connectivity. An ODBC driver translates the data files from one application (e.g. Sage Line 50), so that they can be read by a Windows application that supports ODBC (e.g. Microsoft Word).

The ODBC driver is read only, so you cannot write back to your Sage Line 50 data files.

Although all ODBC compliant applications should be able to read Sage Line 50 data, the following applications have been tried and tested by Sage and can all read Sage Line 50 data files.
